The Rebels might have won their opening Super Rugby fixture against the Force with a 7 point margin but they are expecting a much tougher test this week.
The Rebels host the Brumbies this weekend in Melbourne and captain Gareth Delve says that even though they won last week they have plenty of work to do.
Speaking about their three try victory over the Force Delve said,"We weren't particularly happy with the performance, but I was proud of the effort that was put in... Showed a lot of character."
"Everyone fronted up and worked hard for each other, there was just little elements, passes that we pushed, certainly lots we can work on," said Gareth Delve.
The Rebels won their first Super Rugby match against the Brumbies in 2011 but have since lost their last three matches to the ACT men and coach Damien Hill wants his players to step up.
"A number of guys played their first 80 minutes in a long time, and they got through it and got through it well," said Hill.
"We are going to have to improve on the last performance, because we have the Brumbies this week, and they are definitely a step up."
