Many Super Rugby fans will be expecting the Chiefs to run riot against the Cheetahs this weekend but some loyal fans will remember the Cheetahs last visit to Hamilton ended in a draw.

Somewhat surprisingly the 2010 draw between the Chiefs and Cheetahs was not the first between the teams as they also drew in 2007.

The Chiefs and the Cheetahs have played each other six times and as there have been 2 draws 33% of the matches have been draws.

While the Chiefs have never lost to the Cheetahs the stats say that the Chiefs have only won 66% of their matches against the Cheetahs.

The average score when the Chiefs play the Cheetahs is Chiefs 28 Cheetahs 24.

The Chiefs have played the Cheetahs three times in Hamilton and the Cheetahs have won two and drawn twice.

This means that while they have a record of winning 66% of their matches due to the draw the Chiefs have not beaten the Cheetahs in Hamilton since 2008!

In Hamilton when the Chiefs host the Cheetahs the average score is Chiefs 27 Cheetahs 26.

While it seems the Cheetahs like Hamilton their record in New Zealand of one win and one draw from 16 matches (they beat the Hurricanes in Wellington last year).

The Chiefs beat the Highlanders 27-41 in Dunedin while the Cheetahs lost 22-29 to the Sharks in Bloemfontein.

The Chiefs have made four changes to their team. One change is the return of Hika Elliot who will go up against Springbok hooker Adriaan Strauss.

The Cheetahs have brought in one of their most exciting players Sarel Pretorius who has returned from a stint with the Waratahs.

The Cheetahs have had to make the long journey to New Zealand so they can be expected to suffer from fatigue giving the hosts and extra advantage.

The Bookies have given the Cheetahs an 18 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE £50 BET. The stats suggest that the match will be a close one but we think it will be comfortable victory for the Chiefs. Chiefs to win by 11.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports1 HD.
