The Cheetahs are currently enjoying their best ever Super Rugby season and are on a four match winning streak.

It is unfortunate then they have a fixture against a team that appears to be their nemesis in Super Rugby in recent years.

The Cheetahs have played the Stormers 9 times since the Cheetahs joined Super Rugby in 2006 and the Stormers have won 7 of these matches.

This means that the Cheetahs have won just 22% of their matches against the Stormers and the last seven consecutive matches have all been won by the Stormers.

The Cheetahs beat the Stormers in their first two Super Rugby matches (in 2006 and 2007) but since 2008 the Stormers have won every clash.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Stormers is Cheetahs 20 Stormers 23.

This weekend the Cheetahs will have home advantage as the match is in Bloemfontein where the teams have played each other 4 times.

In those four matches the Cheetahs have only won once and the Stormers have left as winners three times.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Stormers in Bloemfontein is Cheetahs 22 Stormers 24.

Somewhat surprisingly the Cheetahs have chosen to drop Sarel Pretorius to the bench for this week. He could however come off the bench as an impact player if the Cheetahs need him.

The Stormers preparations for this match have not been ideal. They lost Gerhard van den Heever to injury and according to reports Elton Jantjies is nursing an injury and has missed training all week. Peter Grant is injured so he will not be able to come in.

While it is a concern for the Stormers who will play at 10 a change in this position could be what is needed for the Stormers who have now played 5 and lost three.

Instead of leading the South African Conference as the Stormers normally are they are in 11th place overall. That makes them desperate and the Stormers know that they can ill afford another loss.

The Bookies have given the Cheetahs a 6 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. The Cheetahs will push the Stormers this week but historically they have struggled against this team. We think the Stormers should win this one by 4.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on the Sky Sports website and Red button on SS2.

Average score: Cheetahs 20 Stormers 23
