The Crusaders and Melbourne Rebels have only played each other once before as they missed out on facing each other 2011.

In that one match the Rebels won 28-19 in Melbourne which makes the Rebels unbeaten by the seven time Super Rugby champions.

This weekend the match will be played in Christchurch and it will be the Rebels first visit to the city in which the Crusaders are unbeaten this year.

Last year the Crusaders played nine matches in Christchurch and won 7 of those matches and they are now on a five match winning streak at home.

The Rebels have played just four matches away from home in New Zealand and they have lost all four so a win this weekend would be their first over New Zealand opposition in New Zealand.

The Rebels have played 8 matches against New Zealand opposition since they joined Super Rugby and they have won three and lost five.

The teams they beat were the Crusaders, the Blues and the Hurricanes but all of those victories were played in Australia.

This weekend will be a special occasion for thirty-two-year-old Corey Flynn as he will win his 127the Crusaders cap which is one more than Caleb Ralph.

Flynn's next milestone could come this season as Reuben Thorne won 129 caps.

The Crusaders have made four changes to the team that beat the Highlanders this weekend. The highest profile change to the team is the return of Dan Carter on the bench following a hamstring injury.

At the time of writing the Rebels had not yet named their team.

The Bookies have given the Rebels a 23 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. The Crusaders at home shouldn't be troubled too much by the Rebels. The Crusaders should win by 15+.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and delayed in the UK on Sky Sports 2/HD.
