The Queensland Reds have won the last three Super Rugby matches between them and Cheetahs across all venues.
Overall the Cheetahs have played the Reds 6 times since 2006 when the Cheetahs joined Super Rugby through the Super 14.
Out of those six Super Rugby matches the Cheetahs have won twice and lost four times. That translates to the Cheetahs winning 33 % of their matches against the Reds.
Across all venues the average score when the Cheetahs play the Reds is Cheetahs 12 Reds 23.
This weekend's match will be played in Bloemfontein where the teams have met three times. From those three matches the Cheetahs have won twice and lost once.
The Reds last visit to Bloemfontein was in 2010 and they won the match 10-31 giving them their only victory in the city.
The Cheetahs have therefore won 66% of their matches at home against the Reds and the average score when they play the Reds is Cheetahs 16 Reds 17.
The Reds are one of the form teams in Super Rugby this year and they have the second highest points total - level with the Chiefs on 44. They are unbeaten in their last seven Super Rugby matches although that does include two draws.
The Reds have played five away matches this year and won three and drawn one. The only time that they have lost away from home was in the opening round when they lost to the tournament leaders the Brumbies.
The Cheetahs are having their best every year in Super Rugby and are well within a shout of reaching the play offs. However they lost at home last week to the Hurricanes which takes their winning record to 64% for the year.
At home in Bloemfontein the Cheetahs have played five matches and lost two this season giving them a record of 60% of their home matches won.
The Cheetahs had the bye before their loss last week to the Hurricanes and sometimes in Super Rugby the bye comes at a good time and sometimes it comes at a bad time as they lose their momentum. Going on how the Cheetahs performed last week it looked the bye came at a bad time.
At the time of writing the Reds had not named their team but no big surprises were expected as they need to keep the heat on the Brumbies.
The Bookies have given the Cheetahs a 1 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. The Reds under Ewen McKenzie have a fairly good record in South Africa. The Reds should sneak this one by two.
This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 1 on the Red Button.
