The Highlanders have been boosted for this week's Super Rugby match against the Highlanders by the return to fitness of All Black Ma’a Nonu.
Nonu missed the South African leg of the Highlanders Super Rugby tour but has flown to Perth for the bottom of the table clash this weekend.
Along with Nonu the Highlanders will also have prop Bronson Murray and first five-eighth Trent Renata available for this weekend.
Nonu stayed in New Zealand to recover from a knee injury and missed the Highlanders losses to the Southern Kings and then last weekend the Bulls in Pretoria.
The All Black second five-eighth has now recovered from the knee injury and is in line for selection in this weekend's match which could decide who wins the wooden spoon this year.
Front rower Murray comes back into the mix providing much needed depth as Chris King has a bicep injury and could be ruled out for the season.
Renata will provide depth for the backline which has failed to ignite this season.
