This South African Super Rugby derby match between the Cheetahs and Bulls could go a long way to deciding who wins the South African Conference.

The Bulls lead the South African Conference on 50 points and 9 wins from 12 matches. The Cheetahs are in fourth place with 45 points also with 9 wins but they have played 13 matches.

The Cheetahs still have a bye in hand so they are guaranteed to reach 49 points for the season and after this weekend they have two matches left - one against the Stormers and another against the Blues.

After this week Bulls have three matches after this as they play the Kings, Sharks and Stormers. A bonus point victory this weekend for the Bulls will put them on 55 points so if that happens and neither team won a match after this week the Bulls would still win the SA Conference.

The Cheetahs have played the Bulls ten times since they joined Super Rugby through the Super 14 back in 2006.

In all ten Super Rugby matches between the Cheetahs the Bulls the Pretoria side have won every match.

As well as a 100% record for the Bulls the average score when the Cheetahs play the Bulls across all venues is Cheetahs 22 Bulls 37.

This weekend the match will be in Bloemfontein which is home for the Cheetahs. They have played the Bulls five times in Bloemfontein and the closest score was 23-25 in February 2011.

The average score when the Cheetahs play the Bulls in Bloemfontein is Cheetahs 23 Bulls 43 so it looks like the Bulls prefer to play the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

In comparison, against all opposition the Cheetahs average score in Bloemfontein is Cheetahs 26 Opposition 43.

This year the Cheetahs have played six matches at home and they have won 6 and lost two.

On the other hand the Bulls have played six matches away from home and only won 3 of them. Against South African opposition though the Bulls have played two and won two away from home. From those away matches the average score is SA Opposition 8 Bulls 26.

The Bulls have won their last six Super Rugby matches in a row which makes them the form team in Super Rugby as the next best still active winning streak is five matches for the Chiefs.

On average this year the Cheetahs have scored 25 points and the Bulls have score 28 points per match.

While the Cheetahs are a vastly improved team in 2013 they have already lost 20-26 to the Bulls last month and history suggests another Bulls victory.

The Bookies have given the Cheetahs a 3 point start for this Match - with an offer of a FREE $150 BET. Given their form and history the Bulls should win this by 8.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 4/HD.
