The New Zealand Rugby Union have confirmed that they are in talks with former Chiefs back Sonny Bill Williams about a return to New Zealand.
Sonny Bill Williams is currently in New Zealand but the NZRU have refused to say whether or not they have plans to meet with him on this visit.
Sonny Bill's Roosters team have a bye in this week's NRL which gives him a weekend off.
NZRU Chief Executive Steve Tew says that they are already in talks with the former All Black about him playing rugby union again.
"Our guys have been talking to Khoder for some time as has always been the case with Khoder,"said Tew.
"It's a very up-front conversation you know exactly what their intentions are right from word go and we wouldn't be having those discussions if we didn't think there was a possibility of Sonny Bill coming back and playing," he told Newstalkzb.
