Former Super Rugby champions the Bulls are understood to have signed former Bulls, Sharks and Cheetahs back Jacques-Louis Potgieter on a two year deal from Bayonne.
South African Super Rugby broadcasters SuperSport are reporting that Jacques-Louis Potgieter has agreed to leave French side Bayonne and rejoin the province he made his debut for.
The Bulls have lost their star flyhalf Morne Steyn to France and have Louis Fouche and youngster Handre Pollard as his replacements.
Jurgen Visser can also play at flyhalf and Tony Jantjies is coming through the Bulls system for the future.
Potgieter will bring a wealth of experience and maturity to the squad having played for three Super Rugby franchises and abroad.
Reports suggest that Potgieter has already been given permission to leave Bayonne and join the squad as early as Tuesday next week although the Bulls have yet to confirm his signing.
Potgieter made his debut for the Bulls in 2007 and then in 2008 and 2009 played for the Cheetahs. In 2010 he returned to the Bulls but then in 2011 he moved to the Sharks.
