The Brumbies continued on their path to the semi-finals getting another five point win this time against fellow Australians the Reds.
The Brumbies are still fourth with 37 points and the Reds are now out of contention for a Semi final place. The Brumbies put in one of their best performances this season this time keeping their opposition scoreless. In fact this is the first time that the Reds have ever finished without scoring any points.
Berrick Barnes did have a shot at goal in the first half and missed. As the match was played mostly in the Reds half there was little else on offer for the Reds to put them on the scoreboard.
The Brumbies were again without their first choice fly half Larkham and in the first half his stand in Fairbanks played well and even scored a confidence boosting try. Gregan sent out a long pass to Fairbanks who dodged two tackles and then turned in the tackle to miss the posts and dot the ball down.
Mortlock crossed the line twice in the first half and with his kicks at the posts the score at half time was Brumbies 22 Reds 0.
At half time Mortlock and Fairbanks were taken off due to minor injuries with Mortlock taking a knock on the same shoulder that he had trouble with a few weeks ago.
The half time replacements had little effect on the form of the Brumbies as they continued to score tries and the Reds spent the rest of the match defending.
New Force signing Matt Giteau showed why the Perth Force paid so much for him when he showed some fancy footwork to go over for his try which brought with it a bonus point for the Brumbies..
Giteau had a hand in creating the Brumbies last try as Chisholm passed the ball to replacement scrum half Patrick Phibbs who scored his first Super rugby try.
After the match Reds captain John Roe said the Brumbies were ruthless and that if they can continue with hitting form at the end of the season they will be certain contenders for the final.
