Waratahs head coach Daryl Gibson has named Wycliff Palu to make his first start of the Super Rugby season this weekend against the Highlanders at Allianz Stadium.

The Waratahs had a bye last week and Gibson has made two changes in the forwards whilst keeping the back-line unchanged.

Palu comes into the starting line up in the number eight jersey and hooker, Tolu Latu comes in for the injured Tatafu Polota-Nau, after fracturing his arm during the Waratahs’ last match against the Brumbies in round two.

Former NRL flyer, Reece Robinson has been given another chance to make his Super Rugby debut off the bench in what is expected to be a fast-paced spectacle of rugby.

The reserves list has been boosted with local front row stock, Hugh Roach and emerging prospect, Tom Robertson from country NSW, who also has the opportunity to make his first Super Rugby appearance for the Waratahs from the bench.
