Argentina’s Jaguares have announced that Gonzalo Quesada will take over as the new Super rugby head coach.
Quesada has been contracted to coach the Jaguares in Super rugby until the end of the 2021 season.
Former Puma’s flyhalf Quesada succeeds Mario Ledesma as the Argentine Super rugby team’s head coach.
Ledesma has taken charge of Argentina’s national team.
Forty-four-year-old Quesada has spent most of the last two decades in France but said it was time to return home.
“It was the right moment to return to Argentina and contribute to Argentine rugby.”
Quesada added that his reasons for returning to Argentina were more for emotional than financial reasons.
“There is a lot of emotion in this decision to join Jaguares. It is a great adventure that and I want to live life in the full. ”
“The work that the UAR is doing, its vision and the permanent signs of growth were important to help me make the decision to return to the country and join this movement.
“It is a very prestigious role to be at the head of Jaguares “
