Melbourne based Rebels Super Rugby winger Cam Crawford has been ruled out for the rest of the Super Rugby season due to injury.

Crawford broke his hand playing against the Brumbies on Friday and will now miss the remainder of the season.

The 27-year-old has scored two tries, including the Rebels opening try on Friday night, since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for the first four rounds of the season.

The Rebels will also be without Dom Shipperley for the season due to a knee as well as Dan Hawkins for the season with a back injury.

Laurie Weeks is expected to be back from his hamstring in 6-8 weeks.

On the positive side Mike Harris and Tom English made successful returns to Super Rugby against the Brumbies.

Harris started at fullback in his first game since he suffered a quad injury in the Rebels opening round game against the Force in Perth while English saw the last five minutes off the bench in his first appearance since a knee injury in Round 5.
