2022 Rugby Championship Standings

In 2022 Rugby Championship will be in its eleventh year and will be contested between New Zealand’s All Blacks, South Africa’s Australia’s Wallabies and Argentina’s Pumas.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, South Africa chose not to participate in the 2020 Rugby Championship but they returned in 2021 and back for 2022 as well.

2022 will be the seventh year that Argentina participates in the Rugby Championship.

Four points are awarded to teams for a win, two for a draw and a bonus point for finishing within seven points of the winner.

In 2016 the rules for bonus points and scoring tries changed for Super Rugby with one point being awarded for scoring three more tries than your opponent. This bonus point rule is also in place for the Rugby Championship.
