Waratahs winger Wendell Sailor was sensationally removed from the Waratahs squad after what the NSW rugby Union called an “alleged serious breach of the ARU Code of Conduct”

The rumour is that he allegedly took recreational drugs and was tested postive.

There has been no official word on the offence from the NSW Rugby Union but they did call a press conference at Aussie Stadium just hours before the kick-off of the vital match between their side and the Hurricanes that will decide who hosts next week’s semifinal between the same two sides.

The NSW bosses said they were legally bound by confidentiality requirements and were unable to reveal any details on the alleged breach at this time.

But they did confirm that Sailor has been stood down indefinitely pending a full investigation.

Sailor had been expected to play for the Wallabies against England next month.

Sailor could be found innocent but if he is found guilty he would probably find himself without a career in Rugby after his poor track record.
