The Sharks have paid a hefty price for their Super Rugby victory over the Highlanders as Cobus Reinach and Philip van der Walt have returned to South Africa injured.

The Sharks beat the Highlanders 14-15 in Dunedin but Reinach and Van der Walt’s tours are over.

Scrumhalf Reinach injured his knee in the match and will be replaced by Stefan Ungerer.

Philip van der Walt suffered a neck injured and Giant Mtyanda has been called to New Zealand as replacement.
