Sharks Director of Rugby Gary Gold has retained the team that beat the Jaguares for this Saturday’s Super Rugby match against the Stormers in Cape Town.

The  much anticipated battle of brothers between the Sharks loose-forward twins Jean-Luc and Daniel and their older brother, flyhalf Robert for the Stormers, will not materialise as the latter sustained an injury in his team’s defeat of the Cheetahs last week.

“I was delighted with the character shown by the players last week to stand up to the challenge against the Jaguares,” said Director of Rugby, Gary Gold.

“I felt that our defensive effort and set-piece functioned really well. ”

“This weekend is going to be a step-up for us and will be our toughest challenge to date. We are going down to Cape Town to play a good very Stormers team, who are quite similar to us in many respects with a good blend of youth and experience.”

“We are excited about the challenge and our preparation in the lead-up to this match has been good. This match will give us a good indication of how far we’ve progressed over the last few months.”

Both teams are unbeaten so far this season and the winner of this clash will most likely top the South African Group standings.
