Wallabies and Waratahs lock Will Skelton has agreed to leave the Sydney Super Rugby franchise and play in England for Saracens.

Skelton has signed a two year deal with the English champion side who he played for on short term deal earlier in the English season.

Twenty-four-year-old Skelton has won 18 caps for Australia after coming on to the Super Rugby scene in 2013.

Playing every game of 2014 Super Rugby season he formed part of the team that went on to win the team’s first ever Championship title.

NSW Waratahs Head Coach Daryl Gibson said Will has a passion for New South Wales and will be missed.

“Will loves his rugby and he is one of those players who gives it all for the team.

“My best memory of him is his bullet run to set up winning try 2014 Super Rugby semi final against Brumbies that got us through to the final.

“I understand the opportunity to experience a different type of rugby and gain new experiences is something that is appealing to him.

“We hope to see him back here again and know he is determined to finish on a high with the NSW Waratahs,” said Gibson.
