The final match in Round One of the 2016 Super Rugby season is the second South African Super Rugby derby between the Stormers and the Bulls.

The Bulls are in a rebuilding phase having lost a host of influential players who have left to play overseas or retired so in 2016 they have a young side and a new coach in Nollis Marais.

The Stormers on the other hand are a lot more settled in terms of players but they too have a new coach in Robbie Fleck.

In the pre-season the Stormers beat the SWD Eagles and then beat the Jaguares in their first ever match so they could start the season a little untested.

The Bulls on the other hand were beaten by the Cheetahs but then beat a Lions side. Surrounding these matches the Bulls also lost Lappies Labuschagne, Handre Pollard and were also hit by injuries Bandise Maku and Deon Stegmann which has not been ideal.

The Bulls will travel to Cape Town with the knowledge that Newlands has not been a happy hunting ground for them. They have played 12 matches in Cape Town and won just three with one draw.

The last four matches between these teams in Cape Town have all been won by the Stormers as the last Bulls victory was in Jun 2011.

The Bookies have given the Bulls a 6 point start for this Match – with an an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. With more experience and home advantage the Stormers should win this by 8.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ, Aus, SA and in the UK on Sky Sports 2/HD.
