The fourth Super Rugby match on Saturday is an inter-conference match in Cape Town where the Stormers host the Reds.

Both teams will be coming off a loss from last week as the Stormers were beaten by the Lions and the Bulls beat the Reds. Both matches were played away from home by these teams.

The Reds beat the Highlanders before they left for this tour and at times they threatened the Bulls – especially Samu Kerevi – but the Bulls brought them back down to earth with a 41-22 loss.

The Stormers were beaten 29-22 in Johannesburg but this was only their second loss this season. They have played seven matches and lost two. The Reds in comparison have also played seven and won six.

The Stormers have played the Reds 17 times in Super Rugby and they have won 10 matches and lost 7. This gives the Stormers a record of winning 60% of their matches against the Reds.

The Stormers have hosted the Reds 8 times in Cape Town and they have won 6 matches or 75%. The average score when the Stormers play the Reds in Cape Town is Stormers 24 Reds 22.

For this match the Stormers will be without regular captain Juan de Jongh. They have however been able to start Damian de Allende for the first time this season.

De Allende will partner Johnny Kotze in midfield after co-captain Juan de Jongh was ruled out due to a delayed concussion.

Frans Malherbe returns to the starting XV to lead the side in one of four rotational changes to the forward pack.

He is joined by Oli Kebble in the front row, with Vincent Koch and JC Janse van Rensburg named on the replacements bench.

Rynhardt Elstadt makes his first start of the season at lock, with JD Schickerling set to make an impact from the bench, whilst in the loose trio Schalk Burger makes way for Siya Kolisi, with Nizaam Carr moving to No.8.

The Reds have been boosted by the return of lock Rob Simmons who has recovered from a shoulder injury. Simmons is one of two changes from last week and Curtis Browning comes into the team to replace Number 8 Jake Schatz who was injured in the loss to the Bulls.

The Stormers have a strong record against all teams at home and a very strong record against the Reds who are still finding their game under the new coaching team. The Stormers will have to keep a very close eye on Samu Kerevi.

The Bookies have given the a Reds a 14 point start for this Match – with an offer of up to $200 in Bonus bets. The Stormers have home advantage and are top of South African Group. The Stormers should win this by 10.

This Match will be shown on TV in NZ (Sky), Aus (Fox Sports), SA (SuperSport) and in the UK on Sky Sports 4 on the Red Button.
