The final Super rugby match in Round 15 on Saturday is in Cape Town where the Stormers host the Lions who lead the South African Conference.

The Stormers have played the Lions 24 times in Super Rugby and they have won 15 matches, drawn one and lost 8.

  • The Lions have won their last three games on the bounce against the Stormers by an average margin of 14 points; they had previously earned just one win in 13 games against the Cape Town outfit (D1, L11).

2.00: The Lions attack down the wing but Aphiwe Dyantyi puts a foot in touch.

4.00:The Stormers win the line out, change sides and after a kick and the Stormers winning the ball back, a few passes Dewaldt Duvenage scores the opening try.

5.00: Jean-Luc du Plessis adds the conversion.

7.00: The game is paused as Robbie Coetzee is down injured. He has been replaced.

9.00: The Stormers test the Lions in the right corner but the ball goes into touch. Lions looking a little rattled.

13.00: The Stormers win a penalty from the scrum against Ruan Dreyer. The Stormers kick for touch.

17.00: Penalty to the Stormers. Du Plessis takes the kick and nails it.

20.00: The Lions get on the scoreboard as the Lions set up a maul 5m out. Nic Groom slips over and scores. TRY!

21.00: Elton Jantjies takes the conversion kick and nails it.

26.00: The Stormers drive the ball to the line but the ball is short. The Stormers get another shot as they have a 5m scrum.

28.00: The Lions tackle the Stormers before the ball is out so they have an advantage. They get a penalty and a scrum.

29.00: The Stormers win the scrum and kick wide for Raymond Rhule who dives on the ball and scores. TRY!

31.00: Du Plessis takes the conversion and nails it.

34.00: The Lions get a scrum on the Stormers 5m line. They pre-engage so the Lions concede a penalty. The Stormers kick the ball into touch.  Bongi Mbonambi comes on as HIA replaecment for Ramone Samuels.

36.00: JJ Engelbrecht is judged to have dangerously tackled a Lions player. He is yellow carded for the incident.

40.00: The siren sounds for half time. The Stormers have a penalty from the ruck. Du Plessis takes the kick but hits the post. The Lions get the ball and run it out of their 22.

41.00: The Lions attack and run the ball into the Stormers half but they get tackled into touch.

44.00: The Lions try to pick up the tempo of the match but the Stormers defend well. A promising attack comes to an end with a side entry penalty. The Stormers kick for touch and are back to 15 players.

48.00: The Lions concede a series of penalties whioh allows the Stormers to pin them back in their half. The Lions discipline is really letting them down.

49.00: The Lions attack down the wing and Ruan Combrinck and Raymond Rhule collide. Combrinck goes straight down. The whistle goes. The TMO reviews the incident. Rhule is shown a RED card for the incident. The Stormers are shocked. Combrinck is forced to go for a HIA.

50.00: The Lions kick to the corner for the line out and penalty.

51.00: The Lions win the line out and run through to score. However it’s a penalty to the Stormers for obstruction. The Stormers clear the ball into touch.

53.00: The TMO is called upon to review a tackle by the Stormers on a Lions player. It’s JJ Engelbrecht again. The ref appears to have forgotten about the earlier yellow for Engelbrecht and its just a penalty for a tackle around the neck. He is very lucky not to have seen a second card.

54.00: The Lions take the line out for the penalty. The Lions win the line out, use the maul and drive over the line. Corne Fourie reaches and dots the ball down.TRY!

55.00:Jantjies misses the conversion.

57.00: Penalty to the Lions for a late tackle by Kobus van Dyk. The Lions kick for touch and the line out.

58.00: The Lions win the line out and go through the phases in the Stormers 22. They have the advantage but play on. Another late tackle and still the Lions play on with the advantage.

59.00: Jantjies kicks to the corner and it goes into touch but there is a double whistle. Jaco Coetzee is yellow carded.

60.00: The Lions drive over the line after the line out and Corne Fourie scores his second TRY.

61.00: Jantjies takes the conversion kick and curls it in. The Lions lead.

64.00: The Stormers work the ball to the Lions 5m line. They win a penalty in front of the posts and signal that they will have a shot at the posts.

67.00: Du plessis slots the penalty and the Stormers lead again.

70.00: Penalty to the Stormers. Du Plessis lines up the posts again. He nails it. Stormers lead by 4.

74.00: The Lions go on the attack and when they get into the Stormers 22 the Lions win a penalty. They will kick for touch and the line out.

76.00: The Lions win the line out, use the maul and then get the ball out to Madosh Tambwe who scores in the corner. TRY!

76.00: Jantjies takes the conversion and curls it in. Lions lead.

80.00: The siren sounds for full time but the Stormers have a scrum.

82.00: The Stormers win the scrum but the Lions turn it over and kick it into touch to end the match and win.
