31.00: Marnus Schoeman is lucky to get away with a high tackle on Pieter-Steph du Toit.

33.00: The referee Egon Seconds is looking for foul play at the previous ruck. It’s Ali Vermaak, taking out Kwagga Smith from a side entry – no foul play.

35.00: The Stormers have given away seven penalties and made six handling errors. They must rectify those stats at the break, or as soon as possible.

36.00: Marvin Orie, despite being dressed as Spider-Man, drops a simple pass; he’s lucky his team had an advantage. From the scrum, the Lions’ front row wins a penalty.

61.00: PENALTY! Marais makes it four from five and reduces the deficit to two. 12-14

63.00: A botched restart leads to a Lions’ penalty, and wouldn’t you know it, Jantjies will take a shot.

64.00: PENALTY! It’s good from the Springbok flyhalf. 12-17

66.00: Two incidents of stupid ill-discipline, first by Etzebeth for a high tackle, then by Scarra Ntubeni for a tip-tackle. Lions kick to the Stormers’ 22.

68.00: Nic Groom’s break goes to waste because Orie throws a rubbish pass at the feet of Mapoe, who can’t control.

73.00: Corne Fourie wins a penalty for his side. Marais can put the Stormers in a good attacking position.

74.00: Orie taps the ball onto his team’s side, but the ball is not cleared out of the Joburg franchise’s 22.

75.00: The Stormers think they’ve scored, however, Mr Seconds for obstruction on Ntubeni, who blocked Lions defenders from stopping Marais.

76.00: Etzebeth wins the opposition’s lineout, Malcolm Marx, who has been ineffective today, is cautioned for illegal play at the breakdown. Marais kicks to the corner.

77.00: HUGE CALL FROM THE REF! He rules the ball was taken over the line, it’s a Stormer’s feed to the scrum. Not sure how he could see the ball amongst the melee.

78.00: YELLOW CARD! Joshua Stander kicks a cross-kick, but the ball bounces out, however, the Cape side had an advantage and Schoeman is sin-binned.

80.00: Marais dives for the corner. He was in touch and didn’t ground the ball. It’s the second poor decision by the winger and it will cost his team. Gianni Lombard clears.

81.00: Dan du Plessis thinks he’s scored the winning try, but Damian de Allende’s pass was forward. We are looking at the foul play by Mapoe on Etzebeth.

It’s only a penalty. The Stormers call for a scrum; they’re about 10 metres out.

82.00: Scrum reset.

83.00: Sti Sithole is offsides, but the ref is playing advantage as the Stormers attack through the phases.

84.00: The hosts opt for another scrum, this time it is six metres out and under the poles.

85.00: TRY! Stunning finish to the game. Herschel Jantjies dances his way over for the game-tying score. 17-all.

86.00: CONVERSION! Marais wins the game from in front. Crazy end to a dull game. The Lions will be kicking themselves for that last 10 minutes. 19-17
