All Blacks and Blues lock Patrick Tuipulotu will not join the Auckland franchise next week for Super Rugby training when his international team-mates rejoin
Tuipulotu toured with the All Blacks at the end of last year but returned to New Zealand a week early with with injured flanker Sam Cane and utility back Ben Smith, for what was called at the time “personal reasons”.
All of the All Blacks have been on a mandatory 12-week break and are due back in training next week for pre-season training.
However New Zealand Rugby Players’ Association rep Rob Nichol has confirmed that Tuipulotu will not be returning to training but did not give any reasons why.
The Blues and Tuipulotu’s management company have also failed to give answers as to why he will remain on the sidelines.
