Description

SANZAR have banned the Brumbies and Chiefs from singing their national anthems in their ANZAC day match on Friday. SANZAR say it is in their rule book that anthems are not allowed.

The  Brumbies are doing their best to promote a full Anzac Day experience but due to SANZAR's rules fans the anthems cannot be played.

Fans from the Brumbies and Chiefs have been called upon to sing the national anthems on their own 10 minutes before kick off.

This video shows the anthem has been played at a Super Rugby match before now. SANZAR has recently claimed that it is inappropriate for anthems to be played before a Super Rugby match as it is only a provincial game.

Watch the national anthem being sang at one of the most historic games in Super 14 rugby. Bulls vs The Stormers at Orlando Stadium in Soweto - the 2010 Super 14 final.

Credit to Christiaan Liebenberg for the video.
