South Africa’s World Cup-winning coach Jake White has admitted that he could be tempted to coach the British and Irish Lions in 2009 when they tour South Africa.
White coached the Springboks at the World Cup last year but in December his contract was not renewed and he is currently employed by a marketing firm in Johannesburg.
“I’d never say never. They haven’t asked me specifically but it’s something I would consider,” he told the BBC.
“I’d always consider it, it comes around once every four years and it’s a great honour to coach the Lions.
