England star Danny Cipriani was stretchered off with a suspected broken leg in the Wasps vs Bath  Guinness Premiership play-off semi-final.

A broken leg would leave England without both of the their first choice flyhalves for their tour of New Zealand.

Cipriani was tackled by England and Bath centre Ollie Barkley which took him to the bottom of a ruck in the 49th minute as Wasps led the Guinness Premiership semi-final 14-7.

Cipriani was in pain and was given oxygen on the pitch before being stretchered off and taken by to hospital by ambulance.

Cipriani was set to start in the number 10 jersey against the All Blacks after Jonny Wilkinson opted to stay at home to undergo surgery.

Speaking after the match Wasps captain Lawrence Dallaglio gave England hope and said that the injury looked like a dislocated ankle.

More as it is revealed.
