Seven South Africans – six of them with test experience – have been included in the British Barbarians for their summer tour which starts in Belgium on Saturday.

Bulls loose forward Pedrie Wannenburg, Lions centre Jaco Pretorius, and Stormers lock Ross Skeate are the only three members who played in this year’s Super 14 competition.

Utility back Thinus Delport (Gloucester), Bath scrumhalf Michael Claassens and props Ollie le Roux (Leinster) and Cobus Visagie (Saracens) are the other South Africans with Test experience in a team which includes former Wallaby flyhalf great Stephen Larkham and Welsh International Gareth Thomas (103 test caps) . The tour begins with a match against Belgium in Brussels on Saturday.
