England manager Martin Johnson named an unchanged matchday 22 on Wednesday for his side’s Calcutta Cup Six Nations tournament finale against Scotland at Twickenham on Saturday.

Johnson stuck with the team that thrashed France 34-10 at Twickenham last weekend despite a couple of fitness concerns.

Openside flanker Joe Worsley was retained, despite a right thumb injury sustained against France which required six stitches, and so too was fly-half Toby Flood who didn’t play in the second-half last Saturday after landing awkwardly on his right shoulder as he attempted to score a try.

England added Tom Rees and Olly Barkley to their squad as cover for Flood and Worsley respectively but neither has made it into the 22.

Victory in the 126th edition of rugby union’s oldest international fixture could see England finish second in the 2009 Six Nations despite the fact they’ve lost both of their away games, against Wales and Ireland, this season.

Scotland, who last won at Twickenham since 1983 and have only beaten wooden spoon favourites Italy so far in this tournament, were due to announce their side later on Wednesday.
