After the final round of the French domestic league, the Top 14, coach Bernard Laporte was able to name his squad to tour New Zealand for Tests on the 2nd and 9th of June.

No players from the four semi-finalist sides of the Top 14 were considered for selection. These four teams are Stade Francais, Biarritz, Toulouse and Clermont Auvergne.

Along with that restriction, and injuries, Laporte has named what amounts to a makeshift Test squad.

There are thirteen new faces in the squad, as well as some old hands such as Olivier Magne, Christian Califano and Thpomas Castaignede.

The squad is only due to arrive on Tuesday in New Zealand, and will only have a couple of days to shake off the jetlag before they face the All Blacks in Auckland on Saturday.

Veteran hooker Raphael Ibanez is the captain.
