South African rugby will be in the dock on Tuesday when the game’s bosses will appear before Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Sport in Cape Town.

This follows reports and allegations that the ANC wants to hi-jack rugby. South African Rugby Union president Oregan Hoskins, his management committee as well as the presidents and chief executives of all the provinces have been summoned to Parliament.
South African Rugby Union (SARU) managing director, Johan Prinsloo, has confirmed the meeting but said there was no agenda at this stage. Issues such as the ANC take-over allegations, the Luke Watson selection debacle and transformation could be some of the discussion points.
