Connacht, one of South Africa’s three pre-World Cup warm-up opponents, have announced that the ‘Full House’ signs have gone up for their August 21 encounter with the Springboks.

The Boks will be playing against Namibia on August 15 (at this stage still a non-cap game), then against against the Irish province and then Scotland at Murrayfield on August 25 in an official Test.

The Springboks’ visit to Ireland has attracted huge interest and on Thursday the province announced that the only tickets which remain are for people who now purchase season tickets.

“A segment of the Bohermore Terrace has been reserved to accommodate new season ticket holders,” they said in a statement.

“Season tickets have been selling well for what promises to be an exciting campaign for Connacht Rugby and it has been decided to hold the last few tickets for the South Africa match for new season ticket holders.”

Connacht Rugby Commercial Manager Fiona Keys stresses that these remaining places will be on a first-come basis.

“There has been a huge response to the South Africa match and to the season ticket campaign,” Keys said.

“The fact that a season ticket also includes the pre-season games against Castres on August 28 and September 1 is an added bonus and that is before the Magners League and European Challenge Cup kicks-off.”
