The all star Barbarians match against South Africa, which will be played at Twickenham on Saturday 1st December, will be sponsored by Gartmore.

The Gartmore Challenge sees some of the leading names of this month’s Rugby World Cup take on the South Africans – one of the favourites to win the Webb Ellis Trophy.

Players confirmed for the Barbarians side, which will be captained by Ireland’s Brian O’Driscoll, include Jerry Collins from New Zealand, Chris Latham, Matt Giteau and Rocky Elsom from Australia, and Sebastien Chabal from France. England’s Jason Robinson will also play in what is tipped to be his last match at Twickenham, having announced his retirement from professional rugby at the end of the World Cup.

Gartmore, one of the UK’s leading investment management specialists, have been a club sponsor of the Barbarians since 2004. Micky Steele-Bodger, President of the Barbarians, said, “Gartmore have worked closely with the Barbarians as our official sponsors for several seasons and we are pleased that they will now be associated with what promises to be a great match and a significant sporting occasion at Twickenham in December.”

The match in December will be the sixth time the Barbarians have played South Africa. South Africa’s squad will include Bryan Habana, Schalk Burger, Percy Montgomery, Victor Matfield, Jean de Villiers and John Smit.

Tickets are now available from http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/, or 0870 902 0000, starting at 25.00. Kick off is 3.00pm.
