Ackermann makes changes to Lions for WP

Golden Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has named a team with several changes from last week for this week’s Currie Cup match against Western Province in Cape Town on Saturday.

Ackermann made several changes to his starting line-up, with the majority of the changes taking place in the backline.

In the forwards, Willie Britz has been promoted from the bench and in the backline, Michael Bondesio has recovered from injury and will start at scrumhalf.

At flyhalf, Marnitz Boshoff comes in for Elton Jantjies who is out of contention due to injury while Lionel Cronje and Lionel Mapoe will pair up in the midfield at 12 and 13 respectively.

Chrysander Botha also returns from injury and will start at wing, with Andries Coetzee shifting to fullback.

Meanwhile, Hugo Kloppers and Kobus de Kock are both new additions on the wood.
