The All Blacks have are facing a possible injury crisis at fly half after their 29-47 Rugby Championship victory over Australia in the opening test.

All Black star No. 10 Dan Carter missed Saturday’s test with a calf muscle strain and remains unavailable for the return match at Wellington this weekend.

In Carter’s absence, Aaron Cruden played an outstanding match at flyhalf in Sydney but left the field late in the match with a knee injury.

Beauden Barrett replaced Cruden but was also limping by the end of the match because of a sore calf.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen has selected flyhalves Tom Taylor and Colin Slade as injury cover as New Zealand prepares for Saturday’s match.

Backrowers Luke Whitelock and Brad Shields have also been added to the New Zealand squad.
