Wallabies and Brumbies number 8 David Pocock will play no further part in Australia’s Test series against England due to injury.

Pocock was replaced in the 69th minute under the blood injury replacement rules before scans later confirming a fractured eye socket.

The 28-year-old has missed just one Test through injury since 2014, following a season ending knee reconstruction.

Wallabies Head Coach Michael Cheika has not confirmed a replacement for Pocock, but Western Force number 8 Ben McCalman and Waratahs veteran Wycliff Palu can both provide cover and are already in the squad.

The Wallabies travel to Melbourne now as the second Test against England is at AAMI Park on Saturday June 18.
