.00: PEEEEP! The anthems are done, the Aaron Smith-led Kapo o Pango was awesome – as usual – and we are underway in Bledisloe IV at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane.

.00: All Blacks lock Patrick Tuipulotu has been withdrawn from today’s Test and replaced by Tupou Vaa’i.

.00: TRY! Tom Wright scores on debut with his first touch in Test rugby. Reece Hodge put in a little chip over the top from a lineout, Tom Banks beat Jordie Barrett to the ball, gathered and offloaded to Wright to stroll in for the score. 5-0

.00: MISS! The conversion is no good. 5-0

.00: The All Blacks go 14 phases before Ofa Tu’ungafasi knocks-on under pressure from the Aussie defenders. The Wallabies regain possession but kick the ball away. New Zealand comes again.

.00: TRY! The All Blacks hit back through Rieko Ioane, who scores his 23rd Test try in 28 Tier One International Matches, 32 Test tries in 36 Tests. The Kiwis went 14 phases again, sapping the Wallabies’ defence before the yellow wall ran out of numbers on the wing. Wright jumped the line, trying to intercept a stray pass, but the ball was knocked into the path of Ioane. 5-5

.00: MISS! Beauden Barrett’s kick hits the post and rebounds out. 5-5

.00: Wright gets back, saving the day, using his left-foot to clear the lines.

.00: Karl Tu’inukuafe gets pinged at the ruck after another sustained attack (eight phases) by the visitors. The Aussie defending has been solid.

.00: Akira Ioane steals the lineout and New Zealand counter-attack. Australia wins back possession, and mount a counter of their own before Nic White goes to the air.

.00: Rieko Ioane knocks-on White’s box-kick to give the Wallabies a scrum just outside the Kiwis’ 22. Australia is flooding the breakdown, sometimes up to seven defenders, while the All Blacks attack the breakdown with three to four.

.00: Wright attacked down the blindside, but threw an intercept to the retreating Codie Taylor. The Kiwis recycled to Beauden Barrett, who sent a crossfield kick-pass to brother Jordie, who got isolated; however, NZ won the pen because the AUS defenders went off their feet.

.00: Marika Koroibete finds a gap, but cannot get away from Akira Ioane, who hangs on to the winger’s jersey. Australia wins the penalty at the ruck and will take a shot.

.00: PENALTY! Hodge puts his team in front. 8-5

.00: RED CARD! What, that’s not red. A yellow, not a red. Ofa Tu’ungafasi hit Wright with a shoulder to the head (chin) after the winger tried to run out from his 22. Tu’ungafasi did not mean anything malicious by the tackle, but he’s sent off. 8-5

.00: Tensions are high now. Sam Cane took offense to a James slipper cleanout. A scuffle breaks out between the players, emotions are high. The crowd is roaring, looking for another card. Banks kicks the penalty to the corner.

.00: Australia win another penalty, Banks goes to the corner; however, the All Blacks win a penalty at the breakdown, and clear.

.00: PENALTY! Jordie Barrett levels from distance. 8-8

.00: RED CARD! Lachie Swinton, on debut, joins Tu’ungafasi on the naughty step for the rest of the game after a high shot to Cane. 8-8

.00: Another All Black’s penalty sees Beauden Barrett kick to the corner.

.00: YELLOW CARD! Codie Taylor should have scored from the driving maul, but he broke early before being stopped by the yellow wall. Another penalty to the Kiwis because Marika Koroibete went off his feet. Another driving maul is on the cards. 8-8
