The Waratahs could be forced to play the Melbourne Rebels in Sydney without Kurtley Beale due to an injury he sustained in practice.
Horne’s injury in the clash against the Reds last week was expected to see Beale drop to fullback with Israel Folau moving to the centre.
However Beale suffered a knock on his elbow on Tuesday and was unable to join the squad on Wednesday.
Instead of taking part in the training session Beale is understoof to have sat with ice and strapping on his arm.
Beale’s injury could mean that Folau’s long awaited move to outside centre could be delayed and the Waratahs back line re-arranged for Sunday’s clash.
