The Highlanders have named their team to face the Crusaders this weekend. There are a number of changes in the side as Tom Donnelly has been drafted into the squad and he will replace injured James Ryan.

Ryan has been ruled out of the remainder of the Super 14 after sustaining an injury to his left knee ligament in the match against the Chiefs last weekend.

Ryan said ‘I’m extremely disappointed about the injury and not being able to finish the competition with the team’. Ryan met with doctors this week to discuss the injury and rehabilitation time. ‘I will be meeting the specialists again over the next few days to finalise details of the best way forward for me.’

Josh Blackie is named as captain on his comeback as he replaces the injured Craig Newby

Toby Morland replaces injured Jimmy Cowan, and this will be Toby’s 1st start of the 2007 Super 14 season. There will possibly be a Super 14 debut for Ryan McCarthy if he comes on as he has been brought in from the wider training group.
