The Blues have delayed naming their team for the Brumbies for a day while waiting for medical reports.

Flanker Daniel Braid is doubt with a hamstring problemLuke McAlister and Ben Atiga are considered possibles to face the Brumbies. McAlistair has not played since he fractured his jaw against the Highlanders and Atiga picked up a facial injury in the gymnasium.

“We’re going to give them a bit more time,” coach David Nucifora said.

Steve Devine had got over the illness that kept him out the team’s last match and Isa Nacewa has used the BYE to get himself back to near full fitness.

The Blues are currently third from the bottom of the log and the Brumbies are third from the top. Last year the Blues beat the Brumbies  17-0 and Nucifora is confident of a repeat win.

“We’re quite capable of beating them, there’s no doubt about that, I know they’re edgy, I know they don’t like coming to New Zealand,” he said.
