Blues lose captain Pulu for six weeks

Auckland Super Rugby team the Blues have revealed that team captain Augustine Pulu will miss around the next six weeks.

The Blues said in a statement that Pulu “will be side lined for a projected six weeks”.

Pulu injured his leg playing in the Blues loss to 21-27 loss to the Chiefs on thee weekend at Eden Park.

The Blues will have to rely on Sam Nock and Jonathan Ruru to wear the No.9 jersey over the next six weeks.

Meanwhile the Blues have had some good news as Sonny Bill Williams, who missed the Chiefs match after suffering knee and head knocks, has started training fully and is expected to play in the coming weeks.

The Blues have lost both of their opening matches and are now on their way to South Africa where they will be playing the Lions and the Stormers.

The Blues then return home to New Zealand for a bye. After the bye they play the Sharks at Eden Park.
