Springbok coach Peter de Villiers is keeping his fingers crossed that the Bulls can defeat the Chiefs when they meet in the Super 14 final at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Saturday.
In his latest column on the SARugby web site, De Villiers urges South Africa to get behind the Bulls.
“If the Bulls can play like they did in beating the Crusaders last week, they will be very hard to beat at home,” said De Villiers.
“Let’s hope that the entire country gets behind them as they bid for a second title in three seasons.”
“A Bulls win will be good for South African rugby overall and we must show them our support.”
“Good luck to Frans Ludeke, Victor Matfield and their team.”
