The Sharks unbeaten came to an end in Canberra as the Brumbies beat the Sharks by 27 points to 21.

The result means that as the Crusaders also lost on Friday every team has now lost at least one match in the Super 14.

Sharks indiscipline cost them dearly as they lost two players to the bin. The Sharks did pick up a bonus point for losing within 7 which moved them one point above the Waratahs.

Wallabies fullback Adam Ashley-Cooper scored two tries Saturday as the ACT Brumbies overcame an 18-7 first-half deficit.

The win moved the Brumbies into semifinal consideration – three points off the top four – and left the Durban-based Sharks with seven wins, a draw and a loss in nine matches.

Tries by Ryan Kankowski and Francois Steyne for the South Africans set up an 18-7 halftime lead with the only major scoring for the home team being an intercept try for Ashley-Cooper.

But the Brumbies came back with two tries in the second half and Mark Gerrard kicked two penalties and three conversions for the winners.
