Bulls coach Heyneke Meyer made just two changes, one a suspension-enforced change, to the side that will face the Lions in the trans-Jukskei Super 14 derby at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Pedrie Wannenburg replaces the suspended Danie Rossouw on the flank in the starting line-up, with Francois van Schouwenburg coming onto the replacement bench.

In the only other change Akona Ndungane will start the game on the right wing, with Jaco van der Westhuyzen moving to the bench.
The Bulls coach said the decision to start with Ndungane is part of his rotational policy and next week he will rotate somebody else in the back three – which means Springbok flyer Bryan Habana could get a break.

However, his rotation will remain within the current matchday 22, to keep continuity.

Meyer said he has the utmost “respect” for the Lions and pointed out that their last Super Rugby visit to Ellis Park – a First Round game in 2005 – resulted in a victory for the then Cats, the Ellis Park-based outfit’s only win of that year.

“Like all South African derbies this will be a very tough match and the Lions have played some really good rugby this year. We will have to be on top of our game,” Meyer added.
