The Vodacom Bulls’ World Cup winning Springboks Fourie du Preez and Wikus van Heerden are currently rehabilitating with the Bulls medical team but the manager Wynie Strydom says that they are making steady progress and he is expecting them to make a full recovery in time for the Super 14.
The versatile loose forward Pedrie Wannenburg is also rehabilitating under the watchful eye of the team doctor but lock Victor Matfield is in full training.
Matfield’s availability for the 2008 Super 14 is still up in the air and at this stage is anybody’s guess although the situation does appear to be leaning towards Matfield heading for France.
Strydom ( the team manager) said the World Cup Springboks will join the squad in December for their training camp in George as they are on tour now playing against Wales this week and the Barbarians next week.
The Bulls will start their camp on the 3rd of December and the Boks that are currently in Wales will join them on the 9th.
