Springboks and Bulls flyhalf Handre Pollard looks set to miss the next ten weeks of Super Rugby due to injury.
Pollard injured his right ankle (Syndesmosis) in training on Thursday morning.
The Springbok and Bulls pivot saw a specialist on Thursday afternoon about a surgical procedure and is expected to be out of action for 8 to 10 weeks.
Pollard will be replaced this weekend by Tian Schoeman, with Francois Brummer on the bench.

Pollard missed most of the 2016 Super Rugby season due to injury.
