The Hurricanes have something of a reputation for stopping the Crusaders and many will be hoping that the Crusaders will be exposed this week. A quick look over the stats however indicates that the Crusaders should remain unbeaten this weekend.

2.00: The Crusaders wasted no time in getting started as Richie McCaw stole a ball and passed to Corey Flynn who scored a try in the second minute.
3.00: The Try was converted by Dan Carter.
7.00: Richie McCaw seems to be struggling with a hand injury as he attempts to catch a high ball and it goes straight through his hands.
10.00: The Crusaders give a penalty away so Steve Walsh tells Jimmy Gopperth he can have a kick at the posts. The kick however goes to the right.
17.00: The Crusaders pile on the pressure just 5m out from the Hurricanes try line and the Hurricanes give away too many free kicks which eventually become a penalty.
19.00: Dan Carter takes the penalty kick and it’s a good one. Three more points for the Crusaders.
31.00: The Crusaders give another penalty away and Jimmy Gopperth slots the Hurricanes first points.
33.00: Ali Williams gets a very lucky bounce of the ball from a grubber kicker by Mose Tuiali’i. The ball popped straight into his hands – he runs about 5 more metres to score the Crusaders second try.
34.00: Dan Carter converts the the try.
38.00: The Crusaders continue to giev penalties away and again Jimmy Gopperth takes a shot at goal and misses.
40.08: The Siren goes – there’s enough time for a scrum bit the ball is kicked out – it’s half time.

42.00: The Hurricanes scored the first points of the second half as they change kicker. Piri Weepu takes the shot and is succesful.
44.00: Jerry Collins gives a penalty away for a high (dangerous) tackle. Dan Carter takes the kick from way out and just as Gopperth’s kicks stayed out this one does too.
48.00: The Hurricanes give another penalty away and again Dan Carter takes the shot at goal – this time he is succesful.
54.00: Andrew Hore looks to have scored a try but it was created by bit of Rodney So’oialo foul play so ref Steve Walsh calls them back.
57.00: The Hurricanes make an interesting change by replacing Piri Weepu with Alby Mathewson. Weepu took over the kicking duites at half time.
62.00: After 20 free kicks and 14 penalties Steve Walsh tells both captains that he wants the game to clean up and tells them he is in “penalty mode”.
65.00: Dan Carter gets bungled in a tackle and goes down. He struggles with the injury. He looks to be going off.
66.00: Mose Tuiali’i gives away a penalty and gets a yellow card for an offense.
67.00: Andrew Hore scores a try for the Hurricanes. Jimmy Gopperth goes for the conversion and it curls in.
71.00: The Crusaders give away their thirteenth penalty so Jimmy Gopperth takes another shot at goal but it hits the posts.
76.00: Mose Tuiali’i comes back on for the Crusaders.
79.00: Leon MacDonald takes a shot at goal for a penalty that was awarded to the Crusaders. He missess.
80.00: The siren goes and the Hurricanes try to keep the ball alive but they are pushed backwards and into their try area.
82.00: The Hurricanes kick the ball out to secure the losing bonus point.
