Cheetahs coach Naka Drotske has made the obvious change to the halfbacks after the good performances by scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius and Riaan Viljoen against the Brumbies last week, for Saturday’s Super 14 match against Crusaders in Christchurch.

They start in place of Tewis de Bruyn and Naas Olivier respectively after Pretorius and Viljoen brought an obvious greater intensity to the Cheetahs’ play when they came on as replacements.

Barry Geel also gets a run at centre in place of Meyer Bosman who is rested for the match, and Davon Raubenheimer is rewarded for his good performance last week with a starting place as No 8 in place of suspended Kabamba Floors.

Danwel Demas returns on the wing in place of Wilmaure Louw.

The Cheetahs team is:

Hennie Daniller, Danwel Demas, Corne Uys, Barry Geel, Jongi Nokwe, Riaan Viljoen, Sarel Pretorius, Davon Raubenheimer, Barend Pieterse, Hendro Scholtz, Waltie Vermeulen, Izak van der Westhuizen, WP Nel, Adriaan Strauss, Coenie Oosthuizen.

Replacements: Ryno Barnes, Wian du Preez, Nico Breedt, Phillip van der Walt, Tewis de Bruyn, Meyer Bosman, Robert Ebersohn.
