Cheetahs replace both halfbacks

The Cheetahs have replaced both their halfbacks for Saturday’s Super 14 rugby match against the Hurricanes in Kimberley.


Falie Oelschig replaces Tewis de Bruyn at scrumhalf, while Conrad Barnard takes over from Jacques-Louis Potgieter as flyhalf.


Potgieter has withdrawn from the bench because of a groin injury, with Springbok Bevin Fortuin coming onto the bench. Fortuin has not played any Super 14 rugby this year because of a hip injury.


The Cheetahs team is:


Hennie Daniller; Eddie Fredericks, JW Jonker, Meyer Bosman, Jongi Nokwe; Conrad Barnard, Falie Oelschig; Duanne Vermeulen, Juan Smith (capt.), Heinrich Brussow, Barend Pieterse, Rory Duncan, CJ van der Linde, Adriaan Strauss, Wian du Preez.


Replacements: Richardt Strauss, Bees Roux, David de Villiers, Hendro Scholtz, Tewis de Bruyn, Bevin Fortuin, Hendrik Meyer.
