A few of The Chiefs star players have come through injury scares and have been named for Friday’s Crusaders match. This has allowed the Chiefs to name a near unchanged squad for the Crusaders who themselves have reshuffled a little.

Kelleher Tuitupou Muliaina have all been cleared to play and a further boost is that Loki Crichton was doubtful but he is now cleared to play although he is named on the bench.

Sosene Anesi is not available for the match as he is joing the NZ seven squad. In the front row Simms Davison replaces Deacon Manu.

David Hill was considered a long term injury suffering from viral fatigue syndrome since last year but he is considered well enough to be named on the bench which is his first selction this season.

All of this makes very good readng for Chiefs fans as they will need a top shelf performance from the Chiefs to beat the Crusaders.

The only potential weakness for the Crusaders is at No 9 where they have named rookie Andrew Ellis and rested Kevin Senio so the 9-10 parthernship may not be as effective as last week.
