Chiefs determined to build momentum against Highlanders

Chiefs coach Ian Foster says the Chiefs are determined to build on the momentum they got from last week’s victory when they take on the Highlanders at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton this Saturday evening in round seven of the Rebel Sport Super 14.


‘This week is a local kiwi derby and these are usually tough physical games. It is important for us to build on the momentum we got from last week’s win over the Bulls and deliver another quality performance,’ says Foster.


Foster has selected an unchanged forward pack from that which beat the Bulls in Rotorua at Easter weekend.


In the backs Richard Kahui returns to start at centre, along with Sitiveni Sivivatu who will start on the wing for this Saturday’s 5.30pm fixture. Both players missed last week due to ankle injuries.


‘The challenge remains for us to be really focused up front. But also making sure we continue to grow in confidence and enjoy the game we like playing,’ adds Foster.


The Chiefs team to play the Highlanders on Saturday 29 March at 5.30pm at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton is:
